Day 1 - 3rd/Feb - Drive to Kharkhorin - the old capital

Here we will visit the oldest monastery Erdene Zuu, the history museum the Karakorum, the Great Empires monument, phallic stone, and other historic stuff. 

Spend a night in a private ger owned by the locals. (L, D)

Day 2 - 4th/Feb - Mongol Sand Dune 

Here we will walk on the dunes, ride camels, and walk in the valley of Erdenekhamba monastery. And then we will visit the nomad family and get introduced. This day is the New Year Eve when families prepare for the holiday celebrations, clean home, prepare clothes and make the table for the last day of the year. We will celebrate New Year Eve with that family.

Day 3 - 5th/Feb - Tsagaan Sar - New Year the First Day Celebration.

Families wake up very early. And men go to the sacrificed mountains to see the sunrise, ladies, and children see the sunrise from home and they make the ceremony for the sun and directions and wishing all the best in a new year. After men come back home greetings start. And then they visit the oldest family to greet.

Day 4 - 6th/Feb -  Khustai National Park

Here we will see the wild horses and deer. Walk in the national park. And visit another nomad family. Spend a night in a private ger owned by the locals.

Day 5 - 7th/Feb - Back to UB thru Aglag Buteel Monastery. 

Here we will visit the meditation center in the pine-forested mountain. It is so interesting to join all the ceremonies of the meditation ceremony. The first you will be cleaned from your bad energy and learn about the nature spirits. Say your wish to the nature protector gods, and give the promise to do at least one good thing in your life... And then back to UB. (B, L)
